Kevin Griffiths was recently appointed as the artistic director of the Collegium Musicum Basel. There will be more updates on this very exciting appointment very soon.
Solti Competition Winner
Kevin Griffiths is the 2nd prize winner of the Sir Georg Solti competition in Frankfurt Main 2010. He has been invited to conduct the Frankfurt Opern und Museums Orchester in April performing Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony, Sibelius violin concerto (Sergey Dogadin) and Sibelius the Swan of Tuonela.
Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment
Kevin Griffiths has been appointed “Young Conductor” to the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. He will first appear with the orchestra in June 2011 performing excerpts of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. He will also be assisting Sir Simon Rattle, Vladimir Jurowski and Sir Roger Norrington.
